What to Expect

Your Initial Visit and Follow-Ups

 

Your Initial Visit

Your first visit will begin with a consultation regarding presenting conditions. What kinds of changes are you seeing or feeling in your horse on the ground and under saddle? Are there behavioral changes? Do you have any input to share from your vet, farrier, trainer, or others?

Tools Used

With the information shared during your consultation work will begin on your horse using mainly manual (hands-on) therapy. Infrared light therapies may also be used conjunctively as needed. A Gua Sha facial release tool may also be used as needed

​

​Initial visits:

Stance and movement assessment

 

Muscular range of motion assessment, saddle assessment, myotherapy and/or CST session, muscle re-education through stretching and recommendations for corrective exercises or stretches. 

 

Follow-up visits: 

Re-assessment from previous visit and myotherapy/ CST treatment.

After each visit, you'll leave with a detailed Assessment Form from your session that includes a mark-up the muscle diagram shown above as well as detailed notes on the following.
